A white 1/4oz single blade spinnerbait with a YUM chunk trailer for spring. In late-April switch to a 3/8oz tandem spinnerbait. Doesn't have to be a big brand name either. Culprit at Fred Meyer or Wahoo! at Fisherman's Marine are good choices for around $2.

I googled it and found pics detailing how to do it. Sometimes it is just necessary to know what to call something.

Thanks Guys!

What color of YUM chunk, and how big?

Does tandem mean two hooks or two silvery flashy spinners? Also what color? White as well?

Oh, why those weights? I've seen them as light as like 3/16 oz and as heavy as well I don't remember how heavy I have seen them.

Does this make them easier to see? or limit the size of fish that will strike?

The color on the chunk should be in contrast to make the lure appear like something on the supersize menu. But the real purpose of the trailer and using a smaller spinnerbait is so that you can deflect it off a stump or a rock and it will gently helicopter down. Too big a spinnerbait and it drops like a rock instead of descending enticingly by a stubborn bass.

By tandem I mean two blades. Color is not as specific for me because I am going for a reflex bite, not allowing the bass to scrutinize the lure, but forcing him to make a quick chase decision. The tandem spinnerbait's profile also allows it to scoot through most weeds without hang-ups.

All Bass love spinnerbaits. Caught a few smaller than 8 inches and larger than 7 pounds.

Bill norman crankbaits. Lil N in Lavender shad would be your ticket. less than 4 bucks. Norman lures have never let me down.

That page you linked to is a great place, though most of the intra-page links from that article are out of date. The culture at Catcherman is a lot like OFF, only they're a group that spans the country.
