Fellas,
I need some help on the willy. I know most of you fish it frequent and know its structure well. I do not have a boat, but rather a u-boat float tube, and a pontoon boat. A couple fishermen told me to find some sloughs on the willy when it calms down and warms up. Any suggestions. The only one i think was told to me is Roberts Slough. Let me know your thoughts! thanks |

There is a decent little slough at Elk Rock Park in Milwaukie. I have caught some Bass there and have seen some other Pan fish caught there as well. There is a stretch of River in Lake Oswego that is slow enough to tube. Lots of fish and structure. A good put in is George Rodgers park. The lower parking lot is where you would want to park. There is a lot of shallow rocky water up down river from the park. Up river is to the first private beach is the stretch I have had a ton of luck with.Focus on the Rocky cliff just above the giant Cement Glass furnace. There are some nice fish in that area. I use a inflatable Canoe and current is not too bad in early summer. I like to drop shot some senkos or dingers. Swim baits in shad style are popular too. We should throw some plastic some time when the water warms up.

a great place to go is Multnomah Channel at Sauvie Island - launch at the Gilbert boat ramp and go up the Gilbert river , just to the left of the ramp.
-- cat fish - sturgeon - small mouths - carp - starry flounder - walleye - and salmon and steelhead in mar.- june -- in the main stem. |

Try the lagoon near Clackamette Park near Fisherman's Marine. Lots of crappie, smallmouth and bigger largemouth. Or go down to the rock island are on 99E near New Era, between Canby and Oregon City.
