Default Fishing Umpqua

Hey Chuck
Do other bass clubs hold tourneys there?I know one member has fished a tournament that used to be held there but they fished out of drift boats and not bass boats. Can you run bass boats safely enough without many navigational hazards rocks, sand bars etc...I have heard it is a very good smallie river. We have fished mainly off the Willamette around Wallce Park out of Salem and Newberg area. I know we pass it as we drive down to Loon lake and TenMile lake

I don't think any other clubs hold tournaments there because it is not bass boat water. Also too many rocks to kiss the old gelcoat. Back in the early 90's Hannah's used to sponsor a drift boat tournament for bass, but I believe it only lasted a couple years.

But there's lots of other good water in Oregon for bass tournaments.
