If you can get out to Lake Oswego, or West Linn, you should be able to hit the parks off of Hwy 43(Willamette Drive) on the P.Trans. Google some places like Mary S. Young state park, or George Rogers park, there is alot of bank there and alot of bass. I am new to bassin, and have had good luck, especially with bluegill the limited number of times i have been to these parks, except the first time...Wonder why that was?

Yes the 35 macadam will take you out to those parks. It runs every half hour till 9 at night. I would recommend George Rodgers first as it is a much shorter walk to the water.

If the Salmon/Steel aren't runnin too hot this week,(which I can't picture that they are) I will definately be out at the parks off of HWY. 43 tryin to hone my bass skills this comin weekend. I mention this forum to everyone I see, or talk to about fishing, so if ya run into me, you'll know it! Maybe JTLunker will be out too, those are his stomping grounds. He also is one to mention the forum to everyone it sounds like...So you'll know the OFFers out on that part of the Willy.

yes, the 35 bus will be your friend...

First stop comes just after the Sellwood Bridge (btw: learn the bridge names, otherwise you'll get lost!) at Powers Marine Park. Haven't had the chance to fish there yet, but hope to sometime before work this week. Seems to be some good bank acess there and some driftwood cover. Of these three spots, this is the easiest and fastest hike to the water. about a city block...

Second stop is George Rodgers Park in Lake Oswego (oh yeah, if you have any rich friends that live on Lake O and willing to let us on the lake, we'd be happy to help ya find some fish!). The only luck at George Rodgers that I've had is down on the north end of the beach in the rocks surrounding the old boat launch. Others have had better luck than I have in other areas.

Third stop is Mary S Young State Park located in West Linn. There is a lot of bank to fish, and i've not touched any of it. From what I've heard the area to the north there's a bridge that leads to some island that used to hit pretty well.

There are, of course, a ton of other options out there. Make friends with GoogleMaps or Google Earth. The TriMet website (TriMet: Public Transportation for the Portland, Oregon, Metro Area) is AWESOME. Plug in your address and an intersection near where you want to fish and it'll show you how to get there. I use GoogleMaps (maps.google.com) and made my own personal fishing map with lakes, ponds, and rivers that people talk about, or even some that I just kinda found while dragging the map around. Use a pin to mark the spot, then come back and change the color of the pin and leave notes about my thoughts on the location... its pretty slick, and if desired, you can share the link to the map with friends (if kept private, like mine, i can give out links, but people can't search and find my map at random)

G'luck out there!
