A trip to the coast for some Striper fishing is definitely going to find it's way onto my calendar. You get deep sea style angling from shore, huge fish, and a great fight. To top it off, they make for some good eating...

They must have been introduced as a sport fish on the west coast. I'm almost positive that they are not native. When I was a kid we'd drive from NY up to Cape Cod for the summer run. It was not uncommon for surfcasters to pull out fish that even as fillets had to be cut in half to get into a giant cooler..

yeah, well they were introduced to california and then they followed the bait fish up here i guess...
