Default Fern Ridge......got bass?

SO I made it out to Fern Ridge this morning and fished a couple of the creeks that feed the lake, looks like the same area that Basslips hits, and man was it GOOD My first fish was 21 inches and was bigger than my wall mount at home. I was throwing black and red spinner bait with gold and silver blades and I thinka they likey. I was casting along shallow green grass beds along deeper water...(as recommended by a fellow fisherman on this forum) and WOOOSH and nice fish slammed my bait but missed it. I thought for sure he was gone but I slowed down my retrieval and about half way back to the boat he KAPIOWWED it. I had my drag set real tight, just bought some 25lb braid and re-spooled all my reels, and still could barley make and headway with him/her? Once the fish showed it's self I really started to get excited, scrambled for my net. IT was a good hook set, no way he was going to get away. Once I had him in the boat I actually thought for a second...hmmm. I could mount this one. Nah...Lucky for me I at least had my camera phone. I caught 5/5 not one fish smaller than 18 inches... one of my most incredible bass days yet, especially fishing a new body of water.....AHH if only it could have been a tourney day
He are my pics, excuse the quality...the first two pics are the 21 incher. I took lots of pics with my camera phone, but I for got to press save most of the time

Can't wait to get out there again. Maybe next week, my fingers hurt from today it was hard fishing, non stop casting.. You have to keep you bait in the water if you want to catch fish
