Default Deltas heating up

Fished the Delta's in Eugene for only an hour. Fish are moving in, some already have their beds weeded out. Some some very LARGE and INCHARGE fish. Had a huge fish miss my spinner bait in some real shallow water, it made a wake like a beaver was after it.

Delta, eugene? Where is that at? I lived in eugene for about 10 years and that name doesn't ring a bell at all.

It's the Delta Ponds of the Delta Highway. Near Bolder on the River apartments, also near the river valley center.

Default good spots?

i would try shallow flats near deeper water. i would also try the GREEN grass and stay away from all the dead stuff, unless there is wood present. decaying vegetation depletes the oxygen content and the ph levels get too acidic which the bass do not like.

try white or black 3/8oz willowleaf spinnerbaits or weightless senkos or worms in natural colors.

good luck! bring a camera and take some shots for CPR.

Default Thanks!!

Thanks for tips, I look forward to getting out there. I love fishing new bodies of water, sounds like it will be good. Although, I do hesitate to go out there since I went back to the Deltas with my son and got into some nice fish. I might spend half a day at the deltas and half a day at Fern Ridge......Will see when friday comes. Here are some of the pics from today
