It was a better way to spend a day than yardwork though, right?
Maybe it's still too cold for crappie - the bluegill have been almost completely inactive in my pond. |

ya, it was a bummer that we didnt get anything, after a while we just left because only like 1 trout was jumping but nothin was hitting.

Yeah, I've had days like that. Got to the point where I'd go for anything. It's always a good idea to try and plan with the weather patterns. Crappies will actually bite no matter what the water temperature. They are actually active biters during ice fishing season. I think much of their pattern has to do with barometric pressure and lunar effect. The hardest part in cooler temps like we've had is in locating them.

i live in washington (kennewick) fish alot in oregon mcnary dam brownlee res.unity dam inlaws live in baker wife grew up in lagrande anyone fish mckay res near pendelton (sp) also saw where someone said on here about fishing for crappie on the snake we fish brownlee and troll for crappie sounds crazy but it works well
