I've caught some nice trout at alton baker. I use gold thomas lures when it's sunny and silver when it's overcast. I hope this helps theres alot of fish there and very little pressure.

i've tried all kinds of lures, and the only thing that seems to work for me is a panther martin, black and yellow, but it only works back by the water pipe, and the other thing that i use succesfully there is sherbert orange power-bait, although i hate having the small ones swallow the hook, so be careful.

i just came back with my limit last night and ate them for breakfast
and all of those were caught on the orange power-bait.
